GENOMICS, STEM CELL, CANCER RESEARCH

We develop and apply cutting-edge functional genomics and genome engineering tools
to understand the transcriptional regulatory circuits in tissue regeneration and tumorigenesis.
Welcome to the Diao lab at Duke University
The Diao lab is part of the Department of Cell Biology and the Regenerative Next Initiative at Duke. As a functional genomics lab, we have been focusing on transcription regulation in tissue regeneration, aging, and cancer. We use muscle stem cell, rhabdomyosarcoma, and glioblastoma as model systems, and work at the intersection of genomics, cell biology, mouse genetics, and bioengineering to employ integrative approaches for understanding the fundamental gene regulation mechanism in human health and disease.
